Emergency services are in attendance at a chemical incident on Prince William, Avenue, Sandycroft, Deeside.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service mobilised four fire appliances (from Deeside, Buckley and Wrexham) as well as two specialist appliances (including an Environmental Protection Unit from Wrexham) to the incident at 11.00hrs today (Wednesday 7 November).

Staff from North Wales Police and Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust are also at the scene.

A spillage has occurred of an unknown quantity of a chemical used at a chemical manufacturing related premises. The spillage is confined to the site.

Three men, all members of staff at the site, were affected and have received treatment at the scene before being transferred to hospital.

Firefighters worked in breathing apparatus with onsite emergency teams to deal with the spillage and attend to the casualties.
